Rice By Mama: Authentic Thai Comfort Food in Ventura

First time trying this restaurant- amazing! Gluten Free options are plentiful and really tasty! I don't feel like flavor & spices were compromised to make it GF. I got the shrimp pineapple fried rice & vegetable soup. One of the best soups I've ever had! The shrimp was delicious as well, perfect texture & snap' When I went I also noticed that it was all women staff, I love that! Everyone was super friendly! Can't wait to go again, 100% recommend!

This restaurant is GREAT!! The Food & Service is Superb!! When I saw the special of Crab Fried Rice I was curiously excited. This meal to me is a Blessing of a Treat also with the Fried Calamari, my Wife got the Pad Thai Chicken and Satay Chicken. The peanut sauce of the Satay is so decadent. Will definitely come back for that. Overall this visit was a nice one while staying at the Crown Plaza and roaming around Downtown Ventura. We are looking forward to returning here in the future. Visited for my moms birthday and we had a great experience. Food was amazing we ordered pad thi, Tom yum soup, chicken fried rice and broccoli with beef. Everything was great although the broccoli and beef was a tat salty. I would definitely come back. I strongly recommend the Thai tea with boba !!! Literally the best Thai tea I’ve had ! 10/10

With rave reviews and nearby competition from other Asian restaurants, I was a bit skeptical at first, but this hidden gem truly exceeded our expectations. Parking was a breeze, and we were grateful to find a spot right near the restaurant. Just a heads up for future visitors: be prepared with quarters or download the app, as the credit card machine wasn't functioning during our visit. The restaurant itself is cozy and intimate, with outdoor seating that's perfect for enjoying a nice day like the one we had. We opted to sit outside and soak up the ocean breeze, which only added to the overall ambiance. We shared the Chicken Pad Thai and egg rolls. It was the perfect amount of food for two people. The Pad Thai was cooked to perfection, with a great balance of sweet, sour, and savory flavors. The egg rolls were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with a delightful dipping sauce. Rice by Mama has earned a spot on my list of favorite Thai restaurants in Ventura, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic and delicious Thai cuisine. Don't let the nearby competition deter you – this spot is worth seeking out!

Absolutely loved this place! The food was fresh and flavorful. The Pad Thai and Tom Yum Soup were especially delicious. Staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming.

Freaking AMAZING place. Wonderful food, service, drinks and atmosphere. We come here somewhat frequently. Have had a bunch of their dishes and not ove of them has disappointed. The Thai Tea is also super bomb, with just the right amount of sweetness and perfectly cooked Boba. 10 out of 10 would reccomend!
